Electrodes in contact with the skin circulate an alternating current at high frequencies (400-650-1,000 Khz) able to pass through the tissues at the level of the dermis and hypodermis.

The energy emitted, passing through the tissues, meets a resistance that converts it into thermal energy. This technique is commonly referred to as resistive radiofrequency.
